​Gedurende drie maanden werkte Elke samen met Joke D'haese en vijftien Kaapverdiaanse jongeren rond het thema geluk.
​Wat maakt ons gelukkig? Hebben we geluk zelf in de hand, is geluk noodzakelijk, wordt geluk door iedereen op dezelfde manier ervaren, is er een verschil in geluksbeleving tussen verschillende culturen?
Het publiek werd doorheen een oud koloniaal huis geloodst op zoek naar theatrale antwoorden.

​aAartedeSerFezliz - was an intercultural project in Cape Verde (Mindelo), created together with Joke D'haese. During three months Joke and Elke worked on a weekly basis with young adults and local artists around the theme of Happiness. Everybody wants to be happy, but nobody really knows how. The result was a performance with theatre, dance and music. The public was invited on a tour in a typical old colonial house.

Kaapverdië                                                                                                                       

​In 2006 verbleef Elke zes maanden in Mindelo, de culturele hoofdstad van Kaapverdië, gelegen op het eiland Sao Vincente. In eerste instantie was dat voor het project aArtedeSerFeliz dat ze samen met Joke D'haese ontwikkelde. Tijdens haar verblijf in Mindelo leerde ze verschillende intrigerende mensen kennen waaronder Candela Varas. Samen ontwikkelden ze de installatie Quadros Neuronais>. 

​​In 2006 Elke lived for six months in Mindelo, the capital of Cape Verde. Initially she was there for the project aArtedeSerFeliz that was developed in collaboration with Joke D'haese. During her stay in Mindelo, Elke had the opportunity to meet a lot of intriguing people including Candela Varas. Together they developed the installation Quadros Neuronais>.
